The worlds second biggest ship comes to Kristiansand
The world's second largest sailing ship, "Kruzenshtern", comes to the Tall Ships Races in Kristiansand. The massive Russian ship of over 114 meters and with the mast height of 51 meters is an attraction in itself. It's sure to be one of the large audience magnets. We are therefore very pleased that "Kruzenshtarn" has now joined us.

Kristiansand mail post office of treasury Tall Sips Races-stamps have been a success. Managing Director Unni Blesvik has received inquiries from all over Europe. - It's a little funny, but I do not have time for this, says the local post commander, who has his hands full with answering e-mails from far and wide with orders and questions.

67 Ships Registered
67 ships have now announced their arrival in Kristiansand at the Tall Ships Races at the end of July next year. This includes the bark "Dewa Ruci" (right), which is coming from Indonesia to race with the other large and beautiful ships from around the world.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit our Royal Patron
Crown Princess Mette-Marit is the royal patron for the 2010 Tall ShipsRaces in Kristiansand. The Mayor of Kristiansand, Mr. Per Sigurd Sørensen, is both proud and happy that a local girl has said yes to the job. The Crown Princess is already patron of the full rigger Sørlandet and has even been a member of the crew when she was a school girl in her hometown of Kristiansand.
