You will get the opportunity to become familiar with both the ships and crew from around the world and become an important part of a large and active organisation. It will be an experience of a lifetime. There is a need for many volunteers, also in the days running up to the event.

An event of this size cannot be implemented without input from hundreds of volunteers who will serve the ships, captains and crews as well as the audience and guests. The volunteer duties are as follows:

Liaisons: Arrangement and Kristiansand's main public face. These are the first to go on board and are the link between the vessels, captains and the organisation on land, such as supplies, customs, port, etc. Must be over 25 years and speak / write English or other languages fluently.

Crew Friends: Should be over 18 years and speak English or other languages fluently. Must be social and friendly, making sure that the crew has a great time in Kristiansand.

Services: The events "handy-men" are the link between the liaison and suppliers of services such as fuel, supplies, emptying of septic tanks, div. repairs, etc.

Volunteers: Will take care of traffic control, clearing and cleaning, assembly and dismantling of facilities and assistance with the arrival and departure of ships etc.

Hospitality: These will be manning information booths, reception, press centre, crew and service centre for both national and international guests.

Each volunteer receives a volunteer package, including, T-Shirt (different colour for each group), college jacket, rain coat, hat and backpack. We promise a lot of good experiences, both during the preparation and particularly during the event. We need your enthusiasm and your experience and we invite you to work with us.
